ABOUT THE PROGRAM

The QEPC Producers’ Mentorship Program supports emerging and mid-career English-language producers in Quebec through a mix of hands-on learning, workshops, and professional development opportunities.

This flagship initiative connects participants with experienced producers who provide guidance, industry insight, and networking opportunities.

Through group sessions and specialized workshops, producers gain direct access to practical knowledge and real-world production experience—from development and financing to on-set management and distribution strategies.

The program runs annually, with each cohort guided by industry mentors whose expertise aligns with participants’ creative and professional goals.

    Pitching strategies, development from concept to creation

    Development & production financing, budgeting, co-production strategies, market pitching

  • BUSINESS & LEGAL AFFAIRS

    Setting up production companies, contracts, chain of title, unions

  • PRODUCTION

    Showrunning best practices, crew management, and scheduling

  • DISTRIBUTION & MARKETING

    How to reach audiences, festival strategy, streaming & sales

  • GROUP WORKSHOPS & INDUSTRY SESSIONS

    Group workshops led by accomplished producers and showrunners, blending creative insight, business strategy, and collaborative peer learning.

Our mentors are experienced industry leaders from Quebec and beyond. Participants gain guidance and insight through workshops led by specialists in Business & Legal Affairs, Showrunning, Distribution, Market Strategy, and more..
