QEPC Producer Mentorship Program

  • We are looking for emerging and mid-career producers working on English television projects in Quebec. If you are based in Quebec and are currently working on or developing a project you would like to produce, and would like some guidance from some of the most experienced English-language producers and production companies, this program could be for you. Individuals from underrepresented communities are encouraged to apply and will be given priority.

You, along with a small group of mentees, will get online information sessions on topics which may include finance strategy & funding applications; creative (feedback on a project, development strategies, and pitching advice, etc.); business affairs (understanding how to set up a production) production (on-set experience) and more. Depending on availability, you will also have access to private one-on-one consultation with a mentor of your choice.

  • Your mentors will be coming from some of the most experienced and established production companies, many of which make up our QEPC board of directors. We’ll be approaching and selecting mentors that fit the needs of the selected mentees to provide counsel and advise you on production matters in group sessions and individually, where possible.

2024 marks the third year the QEPC will be offering the producer mentorship program, which has been made possible by the generous support of the Canadian Media Fund. Previous mentees received guidance from mentors from:
